Passengers travelling through Noida International Airport will soon have to pay a User Development Fee (UDF) as the airport prepares to begin commercial operations from June 15.
The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) has now fixed the charges for both domestic and international passengers for the financial year 2026-27.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the airport on March 28, and the airport is expected to become a major aviation hub in North India.
How Much UDF Will Passengers Pay?
According to AERA, passengers departing from Noida International Airport will pay a UDF of Rs 490 for domestic flights and Rs 980 for international flights.
The airport operator, Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), had earlier proposed higher charges.
It had requested Rs 653 for domestic passengers and Rs 1,200 for international travellers.
However, the regulator approved lower rates.
For arriving passengers, the charges will be lower.
Domestic passengers arriving at the airport will pay Rs 210, while international arrivals will pay Rs 420.
AERA also said that these charges are the same as the temporary tariff rates announced in August 2025.
Charges May Increase Gradually Till 2031
The airport regulator has approved tariffs for the first control period from 2026 to 2031.
During this period, the UDF for both domestic and international passengers is expected to increase gradually.
Officials said the fee structure has been designed in a way that remains close to the national average charged at other major airports across India.
Who Will Operate Noida International Airport?
Noida International Airport will be operated by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), which is a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG.
The airport is being developed under a public-private partnership model.
To attract more airlines and encourage new flight routes in the early years, AERA has also approved a Variable Tariff Plan (VTP).
This move is expected to help airlines expand services and increase connectivity from the airport.
