Indian Railways has announced special arrangements to help students appearing for the NEET exam, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 3.
Since a large number of candidates will be traveling across the country, special trains and schedule changes have been introduced to make travel smoother and stress-free.
Along with this, some regular maintenance work has also been temporarily adjusted to avoid disruption during the exam day.
Special Trains for NEET Candidates
To support students, North Western Railway has announced two special unreserved trains.
The first train, 09717 Churu–Jaipur Special, will depart from Churu at 6:10 AM on May 3 and reach Jaipur at 11:00 AM via Sikar.
It will stop at key stations including Bissau, Ramgarh Shekhawati, Fatehpur Shekhawati, Laxmangarh, Palsana, Ringas, and Chaumun Samod.
The train will have 12 coaches, including 10 general coaches and 2 guard coaches.
The second train, 09719 Jaipur–Alwar Special, will leave Jaipur at 7:10 PM on May 3 and reach Alwar at 10:55 PM via Dausa.
It will halt at stations like Gandhinagar Jaipur, Gaitor, Jagatpura, Bassi, Bandikui, and Rajgarh.
This train will also run with 12 coaches.
These special services aim to ensure that students reach their exam centres on time without travel difficulties.
Authorities have advised passengers to check the latest updates before starting their journey.
Changes in Mumbai Local Train Operations
To avoid disruption during the NEET exam, Central Railway has temporarily modified its maintenance schedule.
From 12:05 AM to 5:05 AM on May 3, trains will run on both up and down slow lines between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar.
, from 11:30 PM on May 2 to 4:47 AM on May 3, down slow services departing from CSMT Mumbai will be diverted to the fast line between CSMT and Vidyavihar.
These trains will stop at major stations like Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla before returning to the slow line at Vidyavihar.
Last Train Timings Before Block
Before the maintenance block begins, the last Down line local train will be TL63 CSMT–Titwala, leaving CSMT at 11:16 PM on May 2.
On the Up line, the last local train will be TL68 Titwala–CSMT, departing Kalyan at 10:22 PM on May 2.
Smooth Travel for Exam Day
With these special trains and schedule adjustments, Indian Railways aims to ensure that NEET students can travel without stress and reach their exam centres on time.
The coordinated effort by different railway zones is expected to make exam-day travel more reliable and convenient.
