Strong Sales Growth in FY2026

Mahindra Thar sales were very impressive in FY2026.

The company sold 1,26,261 units during the financial year, compared to 84,834 units in the previous year.

This means the Thar registered a strong 48.8 percent growth in sales.

Its strong lifestyle appeal, excellent off-road capability, and expanding lineup have helped the SUV perform well in the market.

Although it shares the same engine options as the Scorpio-N, its performance ratings are different.

Thar Facelift May Launch Soon

The 3-door Mahindra Thar facelift is expected to arrive soon.

Reports suggest that the company may launch it in the third quarter of this year.

The updated model is likely to take design inspiration from the bigger Mahindra Thar Rocks.

It is expected to feature LED headlamps with C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

Mahindra may also offer 19-inch alloy wheels in the facelifted version.

The upcoming Thar facelift is likely to continue with the same engine and transmission options as the current model.

Update for Thar Rocks Also Under Preparation

Mahindra is also preparing to launch the 2026 Thar Rock.

The SUV may enter the market with a new engine option.

Although the company has not officially announced its launch timeline, test mules have been spotted several times during road testing.

According to reports, the new Thar Rock could be powered by a 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine.
