Bajaj Auto has quietly launched the updated Dominar 350cc in India. The new model starts at ₹1,99,998 (ex-showroom), making it around ₹40,000 cheaper than the earlier ₹2.40 lakh version.

This is a price drop of nearly 17%, which makes the bike much more attractive for buyers. Interestingly, even after this big price cut, the company has not removed any features.

Dealers have also confirmed that the new model has already started reaching showrooms.

Same Name, Slight Engine Changes

Even though the bike now uses a smaller 350cc engine, the Dominar 400 name has been kept unchanged. This helps maintain brand value and avoids confusion among customers.

Performance remains almost the same. The new engine is expected to produce around 39 PS power and 33.2 Nm torque. Earlier, it delivered 40 PS and 35 Nm torque.

So, while there is a slight drop in numbers, most riders won’t feel any major difference in real-world performance.

No Change in Sound or Feel

To reduce engine capacity, Bajaj has reduced the stroke length from 60 mm to 56.1 mm. However, the bore size remains unchanged.

Because of this smart adjustment, there was no need for major engine redesign. The exhaust sound also remains very similar to the previous model, which is good news for fans of the Dominar’s signature sound.

Premium Features Still Included

The new Dominar continues to offer all its premium features. It comes with a strong perimeter frame, 43 mm USD front forks, and a multi-step adjustable monoshock at the rear.

This ensures a comfortable and stable riding experience on both highways and rough roads.

Safety and Tech Features Remain Strong

The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with tubeless tyres. For braking, it gets a 320 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc.

Dual-channel ABS comes as standard, improving safety.

Other key features include LED headlamp, traction control, and 4 riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road. It also gets a modern digital instrument console.

Why This Update Matters

With a lower price and almost unchanged performance, the new Dominar becomes a much better value-for-money option.

This move by Bajaj can attract more buyers who want a powerful touring bike at a more affordable price.
