Using this feature is simple:
Open Instagram and go to Chats
Open any DM (direct message) or chat
Tap the voice message record button next to the message box
You will see a new voice effect button
Tap it to view a list of available audio effects
Choose the effect you like
Press the record button and record your message
Once done, send the voice note
How Voice Effects Work for Other Users
When you send a voice note with an effect, the receiver will see a label showing the effect used. They can tap on that label and record their own message using the same effect.

Important Update About Chat Privacy
There is also an important update regarding privacy on Instagram.
From May this year, end-to-end encryption will be removed from chats. This means your messages will no longer be fully private.
Earlier, only the sender and receiver could access chats, but after this change, even Meta may be able to access them.
