Companies around the world are introducing new offers to promote electric vehicles (EVs). In this direction, Vietnam-based EV company VinFast has launched a special scheme for customers.
The company has introduced a new program called “Trade Gas for Electric.” Under this scheme, customers who exchange their old petrol or diesel car for a new electric vehicle will receive an additional discount.
The program has been launched in four major markets: India, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Extra Discount on Electric Vehicles
This scheme gives customers an extra benefit when buying EVs. Under the program, buyers will receive an additional 3% discount on electric cars and a 5% discount on electric scooters.
This means that if customers exchange their old petrol or diesel vehicle, they will get this extra discount on top of the company’s existing offers.
Savings of ₹50,000 to ₹75,000 in India
In India, the offer is available on two electric SUVs from VinFast — the VinFast VF6 and the VinFast VF7.
Customers who buy either of these models can save around ₹50,000 to ₹75,000 through this exchange program. However, the exact discount amount will depend on the variant chosen by the buyer.
Reason Behind Launching the Program
According to the company, the program was introduced because of the fluctuating prices of petrol and diesel around the world.
Duong Thi Thu Trang said that the company wants more people to switch to electric mobility, which can help reduce fuel expenses as well as pollution.
Focus on Promoting Green Mobility
The company says that this initiative is not only meant to increase sales but also to encourage environmentally friendly transportation.
If petrol and diesel prices continue to rise in the future, the company may expand this program further.
In countries like India, where the demand for electric vehicles is slowly increasing, discount and exchange offers like this can encourage more people to buy EVs.
This new step by VinFast suggests that the shift from petrol and diesel vehicles to electric vehicles could become faster in the coming years. ????⚡
