1:1 Bonus Share Details

Earlier, the board of eClerx Services had recommended issuing bonus shares in a 1:1 ratio. This means investors will receive one additional share for every one share they already own.

For example, if an investor currently holds 100 shares, they will receive 100 extra shares as bonus, making their total holding 200 shares after the bonus issue.

Shareholder Approval and Allotment Timeline

The company also confirmed that the bonus share proposal has received approval from shareholders. The voting results were announced on March 6, 2026, after the completion of the postal ballot voting process.

According to the company, the allotment of bonus shares will be considered on March 16, 2026 (Monday).

After the allotment process is completed, the new bonus shares will become available for trading in the stock market from March 17, 2026 (Tuesday).

Why Companies Issue Bonus Shares

Companies usually issue bonus shares to reward existing investors and improve the liquidity of their stock in the market.

When bonus shares are issued, the total number of shares increases, which can make the stock more affordable and sometimes attract more retail investors.

After the bonus announcement, investors often keep a close watch on the stock’s performance before the record date. In many cases, trading volume and investor interest increase following such announcements.
