Telecom giants Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have announced unlimited internet benefits for their postpaid customers.
If you are using a postpaid connection from either network, you may no longer have to worry about daily data limits. However, this benefit is available only to postpaid users.
What Does “Unlimited” Really Mean?
The unlimited data offer mainly applies to 5G users. In some circles, such as Kolkata, Airtel is also reportedly offering unlimited 4G data on postpaid plans.
Vi’s offer has been spotted in select regions like Andhra Pradesh.
But there’s an important detail.
The unlimited data is capped at 300GB of high-speed usage.
This means users can enjoy up to 300GB of fast 5G (or 4G in eligible areas).
After that, speeds may be reduced as per company policy.
So while it removes the daily data limit stress, it is not truly unlimited without limits.
How Much Do These Plans Cost?
Airtel’s postpaid plans start at ₹449 for an individual connection.
Vi’s postpaid plans start at ₹451.
Both companies also allow users to add extra family members to the same postpaid plan by paying an additional amount.
Who Will Benefit the Most?
This offer is especially useful for:
Heavy internet users
Customers with 5G smartphones
Professionals working from home
Families using shared postpaid plans
In circles where Airtel is extending the benefit to 4G users, even non-5G customers can take advantage of the 300GB high-speed data limit.
If you’re planning to switch or upgrade, it’s a good idea to confirm availability in your area by contacting customer care or visiting a nearby store.
With rising data consumption across India, this move by Airtel and Vi could make postpaid plans more attractive for users who need consistent, high-speed internet without daily limits.
