If you use the HDFC Bank Infinia Metal credit card, there is important news for you. HDFC Bank has changed the reward point redemption rules from February 1, 2026.
These changes will affect customers who use reward points for flight bookings, hotel stays, Apple products, and Tanishq vouchers.
Monthly Limit on Reward Redemption
From February 1, 2026, you can redeem reward points only up to 5 times in a month.
Earlier, this limit was set at 3 times, but the bank has now increased it to 5. This change will benefit high-spending card users who redeem rewards frequently.
How to Earn Reward Points
With the Infinia card:
You earn 5 reward points for every ₹150 spent.
If you shop through the SmartBuy platform, you can earn up to 10 times more reward points.
Because of these benefits, the card is popular for travel and premium shopping.
Reward Redemption Limits
Here are the key limits for redeeming reward points:
You can redeem reward points worth up to ₹2 lakh in one statement cycle.
For flights, hotels, and airmiles, the monthly limit is ₹1.5 lakh.
For Apple products and Tanishq vouchers, you can pay up to 70% of the bill using reward points. The remaining amount must be paid by the card.
You can redeem only up to 50,000 reward points per month against the statement balance.
Value of Reward Points
The value of reward points depends on how you use them:
Apple products and Tanishq vouchers (via SmartBuy): ₹1 per point
Flight and hotel bookings: ₹1 per point
Airmiles conversion: 1 point = up to 1 airmile
Other products and vouchers: up to ₹0.50 per point
Cashback on statement balance: up to ₹0.30 per point
Important Warning About Reward Points
If you do not use your Infinia credit card for 365 days, all your accumulated reward points will expire.
So, it is important to use the card regularly.
