Tata Motors has launched the new Tata Punch facelift in the Indian market with an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹5.59 lakh.
The updated Punch is available in six variants: Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Accomplished, and Accomplished Plus S.
This new model has also achieved a strong 5-star safety rating from India NCAP, highlighting Tata’s focus on passenger safety. Along with safety, the company has added several new features and design updates.
Tata Punch Facelift Design and Colour Options
The 2026 Tata Punch continues with its boxy and compact SUV design but now looks sharper and more modern. It gets slim LED DRLs, a blacked-out front grille, new LED headlamps, and a redesigned front bumper.
At the rear, the SUV features connected LED taillamps and a revised bumper. The side profile is enhanced by new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Customers can choose from six colour options: Bengal Rouge, Caramel, Coorg Clouds, Cyantaphic, Daytona Gray, and Pristine White.
Notably, the Tata Punch was the best-selling car of 2024, becoming the first non-Maruti Suzuki model in over 40 years to achieve this milestone.
Tata Punch Facelift Safety Features
Safety has been given top priority in the new Tata Punch. It comes as standard with 6 airbags, along with ESC, ABS, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, and reverse parking sensors.
Tata Motors demonstrated the car’s safety by conducting a crash test simulating a head-on collision with a truck at 50 kmph using four dummy passengers.
Even after the impact, the body structure remained intact, and all four doors could be opened, proving the vehicle’s strong build quality.
Tata Punch Facelift Features and Boot Space
The new Tata Punch is packed with premium features such as a 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, auto-dimming IRVM, a large 10.24-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, and a Harman audio system.
It also offers the largest boot space in its segment. The petrol version provides a luggage capacity of 366 litres, while the CNG variant offers a usable boot space of 210 litres.
Tata Punch Facelift Engine Options
Tata Motors is offering the Punch with multiple engine options. The lineup includes a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, producing 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque.
The existing 1.2-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine continues, delivering 88 PS and 115 Nm of torque. This engine is available with both a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
Additionally, the Punch is offered with a 1.2-litre Revotron CNG engine, which generates 73.4 PS and 103 Nm of torque and comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The naturally aspirated petrol and CNG options are also expected to be joined by the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with similar power and torque figures.
