With petrol prices rising in India, Suzuki has updated its popular scooter, the Access 125, by introducing a CNG-powered variant.
The new model was showcased at the 2025 Japan Auto Show, highlighting its improved fuel efficiency, modern design, and upgraded safety features.
The Access 125 CNG sports green and blue dual-tone graphics, CNG badging on the side panels, and a digital-analog instrument cluster showing both petrol and CNG fuel levels.
It also includes an LED headlamp, chrome touches, and a premium seat, all contributing to its eco-friendly and stylish appeal.
Engine, Performance, and Mileage
The scooter retains the 1.25cc air-cooled engine from the petrol model but now supports bi-fuel technology, allowing it to run on both CNG and petrol.
While the top speed may be slightly lower in CNG mode, Suzuki claims a major boost in mileage — about 60 to 70 km per kilogram of gas, which is roughly 30–40% higher than the petrol version.
The scooter offers a smooth ride in both modes, ensuring consistent performance whether running on CNG or petrol.
Safety, Technology, and Launch Plans
Suzuki has equipped the Access 125 CNG with several modern features such as Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and a USB charging port.
These additions make it both safer and more appealing to today’s tech-savvy riders.
Following its debut in Japan, the Access 125 CNG is expected to launch in India by early 2026.
Initially, it will be available in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad, where CNG infrastructure is already well-developed.
