This initiative was announced by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak at a ceremony held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Center.

He stated that once an appointment is booked through this helpline, patients can skip the queues at hospitals, saving both time and effort.

Benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme

The Ayushman Bharat Yojana is the central government’s flagship health insurance program, providing financial protection to over 100 million poor families in India.

Through the helpline, patients can book appointments and get information about the scheme’s benefits.

This is expected to improve healthcare quality and services, making the process easier and faster for patients.

Easier Access to Ayushman Cards

The process of obtaining an Ayushman card has also been simplified and moved online.

People can now create a card for themselves or their family through the official Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana portal from the comfort of their homes.

This ensures they can receive treatment at hospitals without financial worries.

Impact on Healthcare in UP

This new facility will greatly ease access to hospital services for Ayushman cardholders, especially in rural areas where long lines previously delayed treatment.

The government has also implemented other reformative measures to ensure that the scheme’s benefits reach all eligible people and increase transparency in healthcare delivery.
