Indian Railways adds extra Train trips for Festival season travel

To ease travel during the festive season, the Indian Railways has introduced a weekly Puja Special Train (09041/09042) between Udhna and Ballia.

This train will operate for a limited period, making three round trips, and will benefit passengers traveling during Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath.

Train Timetable

Udhna to Ballia (09041):

Departure: Every Thursday from September 25 to October 9, 2025, at 6:40 AM.

Major halts: Surat (7:05 AM), Vadodara (9:00 AM), Ujjain (4:05 PM), Jhansi (2:15 PM), Prayagraj (10:20 AM), Varanasi (2:45 PM).

Arrival: Ballia at 8:15 PM on the same day.

Ballia to Udhna (09042):

Departure: Every Friday from September 26 to October 10, 2025, at 11:30 PM.

Major halts: Ghazipur City (12:15 AM), Varanasi (5:20 AM), Prayagraj (11:20 AM), Jhansi (6:25 PM), Ujjain (3:50 AM), Surat (12:20 PM).

Arrival: Udhna at 12:45 PM the next day.

Train Amenities

The Puja Special Train will feature 16 modern LHB coaches, including:

14 AC Third Class coaches

1 generator-cum-luggage van

1 SLR/D coach

These facilities are aimed at ensuring a comfortable and safe journey for passengers.
