Amazon has launched its ultra-fast delivery service, Amazon Now, in select areas of Mumbai, following earlier rollouts in Bengaluru and Delhi.
The service promises to deliver everyday essentials—including groceries, personal care items, electronic accessories, and small appliances—in around 10 minutes.
Over 100 Micro-Fulfilment Centres Already in Place
To support this rapid delivery model, Amazon has set up more than 100 micro-fulfilment centres across the three cities.
These small warehouses are located close to customer areas and use technology-driven inventory systems to ensure quick response to local demand.
Amazon also plans to add hundreds more of these centres by the end of the year.
Part of a Broader Delivery Strategy
Amazon Now is part of Amazon India’s larger delivery offering, which includes ultra-fast, same-day, and next-day delivery options.
The company noted that Prime members will continue to enjoy unlimited free and fast deliveries across a wide range of product categories.
Launched Ahead of Festive Season Surge
The expansion of Amazon Now comes just before India’s festive season, a time when online shopping activity spikes.
Amazon said it is preparing for the expected increase in demand and plans to launch the service in more cities over the coming months.
How to Check Availability
Customers can find out if Amazon Now is available in their area by checking the Amazon app.
If eligible, their postal code will display a ‘10 mins’ icon, showing that the service is active in their location.
