Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have cut the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by ₹51.50.
This new price will apply nationwide from September 1. The decision came after the latest monthly price review.
This reduction will benefit businesses like hotels, restaurants, and other commercial users.
In Delhi, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder is now ₹1,580. However, the price of the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged.
Third Price Cut in a Row for Commercial Cylinders
OMCs have been reducing commercial LPG prices for the past few months:
₹33.50 cut on August 1
₹58.50 cut on July 1
₹24 cut in June (price was ₹1,723.50 after this)
In April, the commercial cylinder price was ₹1,762. There was a small ₹7 reduction in February and a ₹6 increase in March.
Domestic LPG Prices Remain Stable
About 90% of LPG consumption in India is for domestic use, while the remaining 10% is for commercial, industrial, and vehicle use.
Domestic cylinder prices usually stay stable, but commercial cylinder prices change more frequently.
Domestic Connections Growing Fast
The number of domestic LPG connections has doubled over the last 10 years.
By April 2025, it is expected to reach around 33 crore connections, showing how essential cooking gas is becoming for Indian households.
