If you’re an iPhone user, this news could be important for you. Apple is preparing to launch its iPhone 17 series in 2025.
As usual, the company is expected to hold its annual launch event in September, where the new iPhone lineup will be introduced.
Fans across the world are eagerly waiting for the iPhone 17 series, but even before its launch, a new report has surfaced about the iPhone 18, raising many questions.
According to the report, Apple may not launch an iPhone 18 next year. So, is the iPhone 17 the last iPhone? Let’s find out.
iPhone 17 Is Not the Last iPhone
If you’re wondering whether Apple will stop making iPhones after the 17 series, the answer is no.
A new report from Korean tech site etnews.com claims that Apple will release the iPhone 18 series in 2026. However, there’s a twist. The regular base model—iPhone 18—might not be part of the lineup.
Instead, Apple will launch a more affordable iPhone 17e in the first half of next year. Later, toward the end of 2026, the company is expected to release four new models: iPhone 18 Air, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a foldable iPhone.
The standard iPhone 18 could be skipped altogether. Apple has made similar lineup changes in the past by replacing base models with new versions.
When Will iPhone 18 Launch?
Some sources also suggest that Apple might delay the launch of both the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e to early 2027.
This would give customers more time to explore the flagship devices before Apple releases the more affordable versions.
Meanwhile, in the iPhone 17 series, Apple is reportedly planning to discontinue the “Plus” model.
It could be replaced with a slimmer model, named iPhone 17 Air, which is said to be just 5.5mm thin.
