Volkswagen has introduced a new Flash Red color option for its GT Line and GT Plus Sport variants of the Taigun and Virtus cars.
This new color is slightly brighter than the existing Wild Cherry Red and features a metallic finish.
It also comes with a contrasting black roof and B-pillar, adding a sporty look to both vehicles.
Powerful Engine and Transmission Options
The GT Plus Sport variants of the Taigun and Virtus are powered by a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, which delivers 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
The GT Line variants, on the other hand, come with a 1.0-liter TSI engine producing 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque.
Both engine options come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. Additionally, the 1.0L TSI variant offers a 6-speed torque converter automatic option, while the 1.5L EVO variant includes a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
These engines are known for their smooth drive, quick acceleration, and fuel efficiency, making them suitable for both city and highway driving.
Recently, the facelift version of the Volkswagen Taigun was spotted testing on Indian roads.
Exterior and Interior Updates in the Taigun Facelift
The updated Taigun is expected to get some exterior design changes, such as a new front grille, a redesigned bumper, and upgraded LED headlights. At the rear, connected LED taillights—similar to international models—may be introduced. New alloy wheel designs are also likely, giving the SUV a more premium and aggressive appearance.
While no interior images have been leaked yet, media reports suggest possible changes like a new dashboard layout, improved material quality, and new color themes. In terms of features, updated connected car technology may be added to keep the SUV competitive in its segment.
No Change in Engine Options
Despite updates in design and features, no major changes are expected in the engine lineup for the Taigun facelift.
It will continue to offer the same 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter TSI turbo petrol engines, with both manual and automatic transmission options available.
