Foreign nationals will now be able to get a special AYUSH visa for treatment at AYUSH centres across India, including in Himachal Pradesh.
This decision has been taken by the Ministry of AYUSH to promote Ayurveda. People from any country can now apply for an AYUSH visa to receive treatment at these centres.
The best part is that the process to get this visa is simple and quick. To apply, one must visit the Ministry of External Affairs website and enter the name of the centre where treatment is desired.
The selected AYUSH centre will then receive an email from the ministry. If the team of doctors at the centre approves the request, the visa will be confirmed right away.
The doctors will also decide the duration for which the visa will be valid.
Various treatments will be available at AYUSH centres. These centres offer multiple treatment options including Panchakarma, Kshar Sutra, dental care, stomach-related issues,
and diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure. The treatment period may vary depending on the illness. Some treatments may take two to three months.
The team of doctors will decide how long the treatment should last based on the patient’s condition.
Himachal Pradesh alone has over 800 AYUSH Arogya Kendras. Many of these centres are located in remote areas like Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti.
If foreign nationals wish to take treatment at these remote locations, they will also be able to get the AYUSH visa for those centres. These new services have now been launched at all AYUSH centres.
