Mahindra has officially discontinued multiple variants of its popular flagship SUV, the XUV700. As per the company’s official website, the 5-seater variant is no longer available.
This means the XUV700 can now only be purchased in 6-seater or 7-seater configurations. With the 5-seater version removed, the SUV has become more expensive to buy.
The current ex-showroom price now starts at Rs 14.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 25.14 lakh. Earlier, the 5-seater variant was available from Rs 13.99 lakh.

After dropping the 5-seater, the Mahindra XUV700 is now offered in 43 variants. This includes the recently launched Ebony Edition.
As of May 5, 2025, the starting ex-showroom price is Rs 14.49 lakh for the base MX petrol manual (7-seater),
and it goes up to Rs 25.14 lakh for the top-end AX7 L Ebony Edition (7-seater diesel automatic).
Engine Options in Mahindra XUV700
The XUV700 is available with two engine options:
2.0-litre turbo petrol engine: 200hp power and 380Nm torque
2.2-litre diesel engine:
155hp power and 360Nm torque (lower tune)
185hp power and 420-450Nm torque (higher tune)
Both engines come with manual or automatic gearbox options. The All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system is available only with the diesel-automatic version.

Upcoming XUV700 Facelift (W616)
Mahindra is planning to launch the updated XUV700 next year. The facelift, codenamed W616, will feature design elements from Mahindra’s new electric SUVs – BE 6 and XUV 9e.
It is expected to come with sharper styling, connected LED headlights, a new grille, and square-shaped wheel arches.
The cabin is also likely to get more features and a refreshed layout. However, no changes are expected in the engine or mechanical setup.
