BharatPe, a leading UPI payment service provider, has introduced a new security scheme called ‘Mahakumbh Shield’ to safeguard UPI transactions for devotees attending the Mahakumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj.
This comprehensive fraud protection plan is designed specifically for the event, offering free mobile payment protection of up to ₹25,000 for 30 days.
Special Protection for UPI Transactions
The ‘Mahakumbh Shield’ aims to protect millions of devotees from phishing scams, unauthorized transactions due to stolen devices, and other cyber threats.
Users can activate this security feature by downloading the BharatPe app and completing their first UPI transaction.
For the first month, the service is free, providing security coverage of ₹25,000. After the free trial, users can continue the service for just ₹19 per month.
Easy Claim Process and 24/7 Support
In case of any UPI fraud, users can file a claim through the BharatPe Shield and expect resolution within 10 days.
BharatPe offers 24/7 support, allowing users to report fraud via the app, chatbot, or toll-free helpline.
