Ration Card e-KYC Deadline: The Delhi government has set March 31 as the last date for completing the e-KYC process for ration card holders.
The government is pushing for e-verification to ensure that eligible individuals can properly access benefits from various government schemes.
If you haven’t completed the e-KYC for your ration card yet, it’s crucial to do so immediately.
Not only is this tied to the ration scheme, but it also impacts other important schemes like Mahila Samridhi Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Card, and Ujjwala Yojana.
After the deadline, you may face issues receiving ration or other government benefits.
Why is e-KYC Required?
The e-KYC process for ration card holders has not been updated since 2013, even though it is supposed to be done every 5 years.
Over time, the financial status of many beneficiaries has changed, with some getting government jobs or others no longer being alive.
This update is necessary to ensure the accuracy of the ration card list. The Delhi government, under BJP leadership, is prioritizing completing this process swiftly.
How is e-KYC Related to Mahila Samridhi Yojana?
Ration cards are expected to be used as the basis for transferring ₹2500 to women under the Mahila Samridhi Yojana. If you have not completed e-KYC, you may miss out on receiving the benefits of this scheme.

The process will be completed once the circle turns green.
How to Complete e-KYC at a Ration Shop

The verification will be done using your thumb or fingerprints on a POS machine. Remember to carry both your Aadhaar card and ration card with you.
