New Rules for RAC Passengers in AC Coaches

Indian Railways has introduced a major change to improve the travel experience of passengers with RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) tickets in AC coaches.

Now, RAC passengers will receive facilities similar to those with confirmed tickets, making their journey more comfortable.

Full Bedroll for Every RAC Passenger

Previously, two RAC passengers had to share a single bedroll, often leading to inconvenience and disputes.

However, with the new rule, each RAC passenger will receive a sealed bedroll kit. This kit will include:

A clean towel

This change ensures that RAC passengers no longer have to compromise on basic comforts and can enjoy their journey just like those with confirmed seats.

Equal Facilities for Equal Fare

Passengers with RAC tickets pay the full fare but were earlier given only half a seat on the side lower berth.

Now, they will also receive the same bedroll facilities as confirmed ticket holders. As soon as the coach attendant reaches their berth, the bedroll kit will be handed over to them.

According to railway officials, “RAC passengers will now enjoy the same facilities as confirmed ticket holders. The bedroll will be provided immediately by the coach attendant to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.”

Key Benefits of This Change

1) Each RAC passenger will get a separate sealed bedroll kit, avoiding inconvenience and conflicts.

2) The kit will include essential bedding items to ensure a comfortable journey.

3) RAC passengers will now experience services similar to confirmed ticket holders.

4) This step removes discrimination and ensures a better travel experience for all.

With this update, Indian Railways aims to make train journeys more comfortable and hassle-free for RAC passengers in AC coaches.
