Tata Motors has launched the updated Nexon EV, priced at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This new model features a 45 kWh battery pack
and is equipped with various safety features that enhance charging time, driving range, and high voltage safety. Let’s explore its details further.
Battery and Charging Features
The new 45 kWh battery pack, which is also used in the Curvv EV, offers a class-leading volumetric density of 186 Wh/lit and 15% higher energy density.
Charging time has been reduced by 29%, now taking just 40 minutes instead of 56 minutes.
The previous model had a range of 465 km, while the new Nexon EV claims a range of 489 km.
Additionally, with a faster charging rate of 1.2C, the Nexon EV can be charged from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes using a charger larger than 60 kW.
It can also provide up to 130 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging.
New Variants and Pricing
The Tata Nexon EV offers several impressive features, including a new ‘Red #Dark’ variant available in black and red color options for an extra Rs 20,000.
The Nexon EV 45 model is available in four variants: Creative, Fearless, Empowered, and Empowered +.
