These updates have made the entire process paperless, ensuring greater convenience and minimizing the risk of fraud for Indian users.
No Need to Visit Stores Anymore
One of the key changes is that users no longer need to visit a telecom company’s office to buy a SIM card or change their telecom operator.
The process has now shifted entirely online. Whether you’re getting a new SIM card or switching operators, document verification can be done digitally, offering a hassle-free experience.

With the introduction of e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) and self-KYC options, users can now handle everything online, including switching from prepaid to postpaid plans and vice versa, without needing to visit a physical store.
