Upcoming Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze: See New Features

As SUVs continue to dominate the Indian automotive market, Maruti Suzuki and Honda Cars India are set to launch the next-generation models of their popular sedans, the Dzire and Amaze.

These launches are noteworthy as sedan sales have been declining, but these new models aim to reignite interest.

The all-new Maruti Dzire is expected to hit the market during the festive season of 2024, while the updated Honda Amaze is set for a December 2024 debut, with sales likely beginning in early 2025.

Here’s what you can expect from these upcoming vehicles.

New Maruti Dzire: Design and Features

The 2024 Maruti Dzire will follow the launch of the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift and will feature a new Z-Series petrol engine.

The car will undergo significant cosmetic changes, including a redesigned front grille, updated projector headlamps, and a revised bumper for a more modern appearance.

The rear of the car will also receive updated taillamp clusters.Inside, the new Dzire is expected to offer a light-colored interior, similar to the Swift.

It will include a revised dashboard, a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, updated HVAC controls, and an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital multi-information display (MID), enhancing the cabin’s overall appeal.

New Honda Amaze: What’s New?

The Honda Amaze, known for its customer satisfaction, is also due for a significant update.

The new model is expected to draw design inspiration from Honda’s global sedan lineup and may be built on a modified version of the platform used for the Honda Elevate, albeit with a shorter wheelbase.

The upcoming Amaze might feature a larger free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, akin to the one in the Honda Elevate, to give the cabin a more premium feel.

Additionally, other features could be borrowed from the Elevate to enhance the sedan’s appeal.

As for the powertrain, the new Amaze is expected to retain its 1.2-liter, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 90bhp and 110Nm of torque.

It will likely continue to offer both a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission.
