BSA Motorcycles introduces New Gold Star 650 Bike in India

The country celebrated its 78th Independence Day two days ago.

77 years prior, on that day, the country gained independence from British rule.

That days was also significant for the auto industry. On August 15, many new bikes and cars were launched in India.

The bike from British automaker BSA Motorcycles is also among the new vehicle launches.

BSA Gold Star 650 launched

British bike manufacturer BSA Motorcycles has launched the Gold Star 650 in India. Bookings for this bike began today, Thursday, August 15.

The BSA Gold Star 650 has been available in the United Kingdom and Europe since 2021, and it is now being introduced to the Indian market.

Powertrain of Gold Star 650

The BSA Gold Star 650 features a 652 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine.

This engine produces 45 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.

The bike is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox and features dual-channel ABS.

The front wheel of this bike is equipped with 320 mm disc brakes, while the rear wheel has 255 mm disc brakes.

Gold Star 650 Price

The BSA Gold Star 650 has been launched in different variants, each with its own price range.

This bike is available in Highland Green and Insignia Red, with an ex-showroom price of ₹3 lakh.

The Midnight Black and Dawn Silver colors are available with a price of ₹3.12 lakh.

This bike is also available in Shadow Black, priced at ₹3.16 lakh (ex-showroom).

The top-end Legacy Edition Sheen Silver of the Gold Star 650 lineup is available in India for ₹3.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

Anand Mahindra was also in attendance

Anand Mahindra, a leading industrialist and chairman of the Mahindra Group, was also at the BSA Gold Star 650 launch.

Anand Mahindra has shared a post about the bike launch.

Classic Legends Private Limited (CLPL), a Mahindra & Mahindra subsidiary, acquired BSA in 2016 for approximately ₹28 crore.

Mahindra & Mahindra owns a 60 percent stake in CLPL.
