This feature, available on both Android and iOS platforms, also enables users to buy tickets, view past transactions, and contact customer support.

Additionally, DMRC has partnered with Airtel Payments Bank to offer digital payment benefits to commuters.

How to Use the Chatbot for Metro Card Recharge

To access the service, users can send a text saying ‘Hi’ to +91 9650855800 or find the DMRC chatbot in the ‘Chat with businesses’ option under the Payments section of WhatsApp. The feature supports both English and Hindi languages.

After selecting their preferred language, users can tap on the smart card top-up option. The chatbot will then provide a link to the payment gateway where users can enter their card number, select the top-up amount, and complete the payment.

Payment Options and Fees

Commuters can use various payment methods, including UPI, credit, and debit cards. UPI transactions do not incur any additional charges, while debit card transactions have a 0.40% fee and credit card transactions have a 1.10% fee.
