Block Your Card Immediately
The first thing you should do is block your credit card.
Most banks now allow customers to block their cards through mobile banking apps, internet banking, or customer care helplines. If you are not sure whether the card is lost or simply misplaced, it is still safer to block it immediately.
Many banks also offer the option to reactivate the card later if you find it.
Check for Suspicious Transactions
After blocking the card, carefully review your recent transactions.

Inform Your Bank Without Delay

Banks usually record the time when the loss is reported and can arrange a replacement card. If any fraudulent transactions have already occurred, ask the bank about the dispute and chargeback process.

Monitor Your Account Regularly
Do not stop checking your account after reporting the loss.
Keep track of account statements, SMS alerts, emails, and app notifications over the next few weeks. Some disputed transactions or refunds may take time to appear.
Regular monitoring will help you spot any unusual activity and ensure that no important updates are missed.
