The company’s board has recommended a final dividend of ₹3.50 per share for the financial year 2025-26.
The dividend will be paid on equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each, subject to the applicable approval process.

NTPC shares closed slightly higher on Friday.
The stock touched its 52-week high of ₹414.40 on April 27, 2026. Its 52-week low stands at ₹315.55, which was recorded on December 9, 2025.
The company currently has a reported return on equity (ROE) of 15.21%.
The dividend announcement comes as NTPC continues to report strong operating and financial performance.
NTPC Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Performance
India’s largest integrated power utility reported solid growth during the June quarter of FY27.
On a standalone basis, NTPC’s total income reached ₹44,512 crore in Q1 FY27, up 3% compared with ₹43,000 crore in Q1 FY26.
Its Profit After Tax (PAT) increased to ₹5,342 crore, compared with ₹4,775 crore in the same quarter a year earlier.
The company attributed the improvement mainly to new capacity additions and better operational efficiency.
Consolidated Profit Rises 13%
NTPC Group also recorded strong growth on a consolidated basis.
Consolidated PAT increased 13% to ₹6,896 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with ₹6,108 crore in Q1 FY26.
Profit from group companies jumped 62%, rising to ₹1,832 crore from ₹1,131 crore during the same period.
NTPC’s coal-based power plants also continued to perform strongly.
During Q1 FY27, the company’s coal stations achieved a Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 76.71%, significantly higher than the 70.32% PLF recorded by coal plants across the rest of India.
With the ₹3.50 final dividend and strong quarterly performance, NTPC remains in focus among investors ahead of the September 2 record date.
