The Central Government has started the online application process for the PM Yashasvi Top Class Education in College Scholarship Scheme 2026-27.
Eligible students can apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) until August 31, 2026.
The scheme aims to help deserving students from economically weaker backgrounds continue their education without financial burden.
Last Date and Verification Schedule
According to District Backward Classes Welfare Officer Lavesh Kumar Sisodia, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has allocated scholarship seats for various educational institutions across the country.
Both new and renewal applicants can submit their applications from June 1 to August 31, 2026.

Application Period: June 1 to August 31, 2026
Institute Verification: By September 15, 2026
Final Ministry Verification: By November 30, 2026

Scholarship Benefits Under PM Yashasvi Scheme
The PM Yashasvi Scheme offers scholarships under different categories based on the student’s level of education.
Pre-Matric Scholarship
₹4,000 per year.
Post-Matric Scholarship
Group 1: Professional Degree and Postgraduate Courses – ₹20,000
Group 2: Other Professional Courses, Degree, Diploma, or Certificate Courses – ₹13,000
Group 3: Graduation and Postgraduate Courses (other than Groups 1 and 2) – ₹8,000
Group 4: Non-degree courses after Class 10 – ₹5,000
Top Class School Education
₹75,000 for students of Classes 9 and 10.
₹1,25,000 for students of Classes 11 and 12.
Top Class College Education
Students selected under this category can receive:
Tuition fees up to ₹2 lakh for private institutions.
Up to ₹3.72 lakh for pilot training courses.
₹3,000 per month for food and accommodation.
₹5,000 for books and stationery.
Financial assistance of up to ₹45,000 for a laptop, computer, or related accessories.
How to Apply for PM Yashasvi Scholarship
Students can complete the application online through the National Scholarship Portal by following these steps:
Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Click on New Registration.
Read the instructions and complete the registration form.
After registration, you will receive a User ID and Password.
Log in using your credentials.
Select the PM Yashasvi Scholarship.
Fill in the application form.
Upload the required documents and submit the application.
After submission, the school or college nodal officer will verify the application online, followed by verification from the state government.
