Orient Cables IPO is set to open for subscription on September 25, giving retail investors an opportunity to apply for shares in the ₹552 crore public issue. The subscription window will remain open until September 29.
The IPO includes a fresh issue of 11.8 million shares, while existing investors will offer shares worth ₹232 crore through an offer for sale.
Orient Cables IPO Price Band and Lot Size
The price band for the IPO has been fixed at ₹258 to ₹272 per share. The minimum lot size is 55 shares, meaning retail investors will need a minimum investment of ₹14,960 at the upper end of the price band.
Share allotment is scheduled for September 30, while the company is expected to list its shares on the BSE and NSE on October 5.
IIFL Capital Services Limited is the Book Running Lead Manager for the issue, while KFin Technologies has been appointed as the registrar.
Orient Cables IPO GMP Today
The current grey market premium, or GMP, for the Orient Cables IPO is ₹0. This indicates that there is currently no grey market activity being reported for the issue.

IPO Reservation for Different Investors
Under the proposed allocation, up to 50% of the shares can be reserved for Qualified Institutional Buyers. Retail investors will have a minimum reservation of 35%, while Non-Institutional Investors will receive a minimum allocation of 15%.

How Orient Cables Will Use IPO Funds
Orient Cables plans to use ₹91.50 crore from the fresh issue for capital expenditure. This includes spending on new machinery and civil works to support its operations.
The company also plans to use ₹155.50 crore to repay, fully or partly, its existing debt. The remaining funds from the issue will be used according to the purposes outlined in the IPO documents.

Orient Cables was founded in 2005 and manufactures networking and related cable products. Its portfolio includes power cables, optical fibre cables, keystone jacks, power strips, power cords and control cables.
As of June 30, 2026, the company had an installed capacity of 895,776 kilometres. Its workforce included 613 permanent employees and 1,327 contractual employees.
