Good news for regular commuters on the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor.
Passengers will now have to wait less at stations as trains will arrive every 8 minutes instead of 10 minutes.
The new schedule started from July 30 and will continue until August 14.
The change has been introduced by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), which has added 52 extra train trips every day on the corridor.
The increase in services comes during the Shravan month, when thousands of devotees travel towards Haridwar.
With road traffic affected due to several diversions, more people are expected to use Namo Bharat services for smoother travel.
Namo Bharat Services Increased Between Delhi and Meerut
Under the revised timetable, Namo Bharat trains will operate at an 8-minute frequency across the entire operational route between Sarai Kale Khan and Modipuram.
The increased frequency will help reduce waiting time at stations, especially during busy hours when passenger demand is higher.
NCRTC has also said that more services can be added if the number of passengers increases further.
52 Additional Trips Added to Manage Passenger Rush
To support the shorter waiting time, NCRTC has included 52 additional daily trips in the train schedule.
The extra services are expected to reduce crowding and make travel more comfortable for passengers travelling between Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut during the festive period.
Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor Route and Stations
The 82.15-km Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor connects important areas of Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut.
The route includes 16 stations:

Sarai Kale Khan
New Ashok Nagar
Anand Vihar
Sahibabad
Ghaziabad
Guldhar
Duhai
Duhai Depot
Muradnagar
Modinagar South
Modinagar North
Meerut South
Shatabdi Nagar
Begumpul
Modipuram
Passengers travelling on this route until August 14 will be able to access trains every eight minutes.
Meerut Metro Schedule Remains the Same
The new timetable applies only to Namo Bharat trains.
Meerut Metro services operating between Meerut South and Modipuram will continue to run according to their existing schedule.
Passengers travelling within Meerut can continue using the Metro as usual, while those travelling towards Delhi or Ghaziabad can connect with Namo Bharat services for faster travel.
