The Jio-BP Petrol Diesel Price Hike has increased petrol prices by Rs 5 per litre and diesel prices by Rs 3 per litre, with the revised rates taking effect from October 11, 2026.

The increase affects customers refuelling at Jio-bp outlets, while prices continue to vary between cities because of local taxes.

The move comes amid pressure from higher international crude oil and refined fuel prices.

For motorists, the increase means checking the rate at their usual fuel station has become more important, particularly when comparing private retailers with government-owned oil companies.

Jio-BP Petrol Diesel Price Hike: New Rates

Following the revision, Jio-bp petrol is selling at around Rs 109.80 per litre in Haryana, while diesel costs approximately Rs 97.75 per litre.

In Punjab, reported prices are around Rs 108.54 for petrol and Rs 99.19 for diesel per litre.

In Rajasthan, petrol prices at Jio-bp outlets range from approximately Rs 113.91 to Rs 117.65 per litre, while diesel costs between Rs 97.15 and Rs 100.78 per litre.

The actual rate depends on the location and applicable local taxes.

Why Has Jio-bp Increased Fuel Prices?

Higher international crude oil and refined petroleum product prices have put pressure on fuel retailers’ margins.

India imports a large share of its crude oil requirements, making domestic fuel businesses vulnerable to changes in global oil prices and supply disruptions.

The increase follows a similar move by private fuel retailer Nayara Energy, which raised petrol prices by Rs 5 per litre and diesel prices by Rs 3 per litre earlier in October.

These developments reflect the pressure facing private fuel retailers as international energy costs rise.

Are Government-Owned Petrol Pumps Also More Expensive?

According to reports published on October 12, 2026, Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum had not changed their regular petrol and diesel prices in line with the latest private-sector increases.

This has widened the price difference between some private and government-owned fuel outlets.

However, prices vary by location, fuel retailer and local taxes. Motorists should check the displayed rate at their nearest petrol pump before filling up rather than assuming that the same price applies across all outlets.

What the Fuel Price Increase Means for Drivers

The Jio-BP Petrol Diesel Price Hike means customers using affected outlets will pay more for the same quantity of fuel.

For example, buying 10 litres of petrol at the revised rate represents Rs 50 more than it would have before the increase, while 10 litres of diesel costs Rs 30 more.

Drivers who regularly travel long distances may notice a greater impact on their monthly fuel budgets.

Comparing nearby pump prices and planning fuel expenses can help households and commercial vehicle operators manage the additional cost.
