Dreaming of visiting Japan but worried about arranging flights, hotels, sightseeing and visas on your own?
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced an all-inclusive 10-day, 9-night Japan tour package that takes care of most of the major travel arrangements.
The tour, called “Land of the Rising Sun”, will start from Delhi on September 6 and return on September 15.
Travellers can explore Japan’s famous temples, modern cities, bullet trains and scenic destinations as part of the package.
To book the tour, passengers need a passport with at least six months’ validity.
PAN card, financial documents and employment-related documents will also be required for the visa process.
IRCTC Japan Tour Package Price
The package price depends on the type of accommodation selected.
Triple sharing: Starting at Rs 3,45,999 per person
Twin sharing: Rs 3,49,999 per person
Single occupancy: Rs 4,73,999
Children aged 5-11 years: Rs 2,92,499 with a bed and Rs 2,63,999 without a bed
The package is designed to cover several major travel arrangements, making it easier for tourists to plan their Japan trip.
4-Star Hotels, Flights and Meals Included
Travellers will fly from Delhi to Tokyo on All Nippon Airways (ANA) in premium economy class.
IRCTC will also assist with the Japan tourist visa process.
The package includes the tourist visa fee and travel insurance for travellers below 70 years of age, according to the package details.
Accommodation will be provided in 4-star hotels.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are also included.
For local sightseeing, passengers will travel in air-conditioned buses along with a guide. Airport transfers are also part of the package.
Bullet Train, Mount Fuji and Bamboo Forest
The 10-day itinerary covers some of Japan’s most popular destinations, including Tokyo, Hakone, Hamamatsu, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima.
One of the major highlights will be a ride on Japan’s famous bullet train from Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima.
Travellers will also get an opportunity to visit Mount Fuji’s Fifth Station and explore the Hakone region.
The itinerary includes a cruise through Owakudani Valley, the Hakone Ropeway from Togendai to Owakudani and a ride on the Hakone Pirate Ship.
Visitors will also get to explore the Toyota Museum and SCMAGLEV Railway Museum.
Famous Temples and Tourist Attractions Included
The Japan tour also offers several opportunities to experience the country’s history and culture.
In Kyoto, travellers can visit the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kinkaku-ji Temple and Fushimi Inari Taisha.
The itinerary also includes Osaka Castle, Nara Deer Park and Todai-ji Temple.
In Hiroshima, travellers will visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, along with Miyajima Island and the famous Itsukushima Shrine.
