Indian travelers visiting Dubai have received a major convenience.

They can now book tickets for At the Top, Burj Khalifa online using UPI, making the payment process faster and easier.

With this move, Burj Khalifa has become the first tourist attraction in the UAE to accept UPI payments for online bookings.

The announcement was made by NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) on July 29.

Book Tickets Using Any UPI App

The new service has been introduced through a partnership between NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), NeoPay, and Emaar Entertainment.

Indian tourists can now visit the official Burj Khalifa website and pay for tickets or other experiences using any UPI-enabled payment app.

There is no need to download a separate payment platform or app.

This means travelers can complete their bookings before leaving India, making their trip planning much more convenient.

UPI Services in UAE Continue to Expand

UPI payments have already been available at many UAE merchants through QR codes since 2022 via the NeoPay network.

Now, the same payment system has been extended to online bookings, allowing Indian users to pay through UPI even before arriving in the UAE.

According to NIPL Managing Director and CEO Ritesh Shukla, Indian travelers prefer payment methods that are familiar, secure, and easy to use.

Bringing UPI to Burj Khalifa’s online booking platform allows them to make payments conveniently from India.

Boost for India-UAE Digital Payments

NIPL said the new facility will strengthen digital payment connectivity between India and the UAE while making travel more convenient for Indian visitors.

NeoPay CEO Vibhor Mundhra called it an important milestone for digital commerce, saying NeoPay has become the first company in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to offer UPI payments for e-commerce transactions.

An Emaar Entertainment spokesperson also welcomed the move, saying that adding UPI to online bookings will make ticket purchases much easier for Indian tourists.

The company noted that Indians are among the largest groups of international visitors to Burj Khalifa, making this feature especially useful for thousands of travelers.
