Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab are likely to receive isolated to scattered rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning on September 19.
East Uttar Pradesh may experience similar conditions through September 20.
East Rajasthan is expected to receive isolated to scattered rainfall from September 19 to 22, with isolated heavy rainfall forecast on September 19.
Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are also likely to experience rain, thunderstorms and lightning during the period.

Rain Forecast in Central and Eastern India

Chhattisgarh is likely to experience fairly widespread to widespread rainfall between September 19 and 24.
The IMD has forecast isolated heavy rainfall in the state during September 22 to 24.
In eastern India, Bihar is likely to receive isolated to scattered rainfall during September 19 to 24.
Jharkhand may also see rain during September 19 to 23, while Odisha is expected to receive rain through September 21, including isolated heavy rainfall on September 19.
Weather Alert Extends to Western and Southern States
Gujarat is likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread rainfall on September 19, while Saurashtra and Kutch may experience isolated to scattered rain over the following days.
Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada are also expected to receive rainfall.
The IMD has forecast isolated heavy rainfall over Madhya Maharashtra from September 20 to 22 and over Konkan and Goa from September 21 to 22.
Southern India is also likely to remain wet.
Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep may receive fairly widespread to widespread rainfall through September 24, while Karnataka and Telangana are also expected to see rainfall during the period.
Monsoon Withdrawal Begins From West Rajasthan
The latest forecast comes as conditions become favourable for the southwest monsoon to begin withdrawing from some parts of West Rajasthan around September 19.
The start of monsoon withdrawal does not mean rainfall will immediately end across India.
