Why Has the Goa Government Introduced This Scheme?
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the scheme fulfills a promise made during the 2022 Goa Assembly elections.
At that time, he had promised to provide three free LPG cylinders every year to the people of Goa.
The government has now moved ahead with the scheme, giving eligible families financial support for their cooking gas expenses.

These include:

After verification, the ₹3,000 annual benefit will be transferred directly to the bank account of eligible beneficiaries.
