There is an important update for crores of EPFO members and employers.
If you were expecting PF online services to resume on July 2, you will have to wait a little longer.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced that the ongoing system upgrade and database migration work is still not complete.
Because of this, online services on the PF portal will remain unavailable for now.
EPFO Extends Service Suspension Till July 3
According to the latest notice shared by EPFO, the organisation is upgrading its database and software to make the claims process faster, more secure, and more reliable.
The work is taking longer than expected. EPFO now aims to restore member and employer services by July 3, 2026.
Until the upgrade is completed, all online services on the portal will remain suspended.
The organisation has also apologised to subscribers for the inconvenience caused by the extended downtime.
Which EPFO Services Are Not Working?
During the maintenance period, both the Member Interface and Employer Interface will remain completely closed.
This means users will not be able to:
Log in to their EPFO account
Activate their UAN
Check PF claim status
Submit a new PF claim
View or download their PF passbook
Access employer-related online services
If you have been trying to use the EPFO portal, you will need to wait until the services are restored.
Deadline Extended Again
This is the fourth time EPFO has extended the deadline for completing the system upgrade.
Initially, the maintenance was scheduled from June 26 to June 28.
It was then extended to June 30, followed by another extension until 11:59 PM on July 1.
Now, the latest update issued on July 2 says the work needs more time, and services are expected to resume by July 3.
EPFO has requested members and employers to remain patient, saying the upgrade will help create a faster, safer, and more reliable digital platform for all users.
