As we approach December 1, 2023, several significant changes in rules are set to take effect, impacting HDFC Bank’s Regalia Credit Card, SIM card purchases, and LPG prices.
New Rules for HDFC Bank’s Regalia Credit Card
HDFC Bank has introduced modifications to the rules governing its Regalia Credit Card, particularly regarding lounge access.
Lounge Access Conditions: Effective December 1, lounge access will be granted based on cardholder spending.
To qualify for lounge access, users must spend Rs 1 lakh or more in a calendar quarter (January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December).
Claiming Lounge Voucher: Cardholders need to claim the lounge voucher by visiting the Smart Buy page and Lounge Benefits page.
Frequency: Lounge benefits can be availed twice in a quarter.
Transaction Fee: A nominal transaction fee of Rs 2 will be charged during lounge access, and MasterCard customers will see a temporary deduction of Rs 25,
which will be later reversed.
New Rules for SIM Cards
The central government is implementing revised rules for the purchase and sale of SIM cards across the entire country,
effective December 1, 2023.
Limited Purchases per ID: Under the new rules, individuals will be restricted in the number of SIM cards they can purchase using a single ID.
KYC Process for Sellers: SIM card sellers are required to undergo the KYC process before registration and inclusion in the system.
LPG Price Announcement
Monthly Price Decision: LPG cylinder prices, as well as prices for CNG and PNG, are set on the 1st of every month.
Wedding Season Impact: Anticipated price changes in commercial cylinders during the wedding season due to increased demand.
As these changes come into effect, it is advisable for HDFC Bank Regalia Credit Cardholders, SIM card purchasers,
and consumers of LPG to stay informed and adapt to the evolving regulations.
