This process has been ongoing for over eight months, emphasizing its importance in maintaining the integrity of LPG distribution.

Household vs Commercial Rates:
Household Cylinder: 14.2 kg at ₹803 (approx. ₹56.5 per kg)
Commercial Cylinder: 19 kg at ₹1,646 (approx. ₹86.3 per kg)
Minister’s Statement
In response to concerns raised by leaders like V D Satheeshan, who highlighted potential challenges for consumers, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri clarified that verification ensures valid distribution channels.
The verification process involves gas distributors verifying customer identities via Aadhaar using mobile apps or at distributor showrooms.

Customers can complete their eKYC through the gas distributor’s app or visit distributor showrooms for verification.
