Azerbaijan F1 visa on arrival facility is now available for foreign visitors travelling to Baku for the 2026 Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Eligible travellers can obtain the visa at Azerbaijan’s international airports by showing a valid race ticket or qualifying accreditation.
The temporary facility is available from August 25 to September 30, 2026, giving Formula 1 fans a simplified entry option around the race weekend.
Azerbaijan F1 Visa on Arrival: Who Can Get It
Foreign nationals and stateless persons travelling to Azerbaijan for the 2026 Formula 1 race in Baku can use the special visa facility if they provide the required proof.
A valid Formula 1 race ticket, including an electronic ticket, or a document confirming the purchase of a ticket can be presented for visa issuance at the airport.
People accredited for the event can also qualify by showing an accreditation card or another document confirming accreditation under the relevant Formula 1 and FIA rules.
Accreditation issued by the Baku City Circuit Operations Company is also accepted under the temporary arrangement.
Visa Facility Available Until September 30
The special arrangement started on August 25 and will remain available until September 30, 2026.
This means eligible visitors arriving during this period can use the airport-based visa facility instead of completing the regular visa process beforehand.
Travellers planning to attend the Grand Prix should carry the required ticket, proof of ticket purchase or accreditation document when travelling.
The special facility is specifically connected with the 2026 Formula 1 race in Baku.

2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Dates
The 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place at the Baku City Circuit from September 24 to September 26.
The race weekend includes practice sessions, qualifying and the main Grand Prix.
The main race is scheduled for Saturday, September 26.
The 2026 event is taking place on a Saturday rather than the usual Sunday schedule.
The Baku City Circuit covers 6.003 kilometres and features 20 corners.
The track runs through parts of central Baku, including areas near the city’s historic old town and the Caspian Sea waterfront.
