HT Media has launched the Mint Money personal finance app, giving users access to financial content and services such as free credit score checks, bill payments, personal loan options and credit health information on one platform.

The app has been developed by HT Digital Streams Limited and is available for free on the Google Play Store for Android users.

Mint Money App Offers Credit and Bill Services

Mint Money app offers a free credit score check that helps users understand factors such as payment history, credit utilisation and loan activity. These details can help users understand what may affect their credit score.

The app also includes a Credit Builder feature. It is designed to provide personalised tips and suggested actions that can help users work towards improving their credit score.

Bill payments are another key feature of the app. Users can make payments for their daily bills from the same platform while also accessing services related to credit scores, personal loans and credit cards.

The app also provides rewards for certain activities, including bill payments, adding a loyalty element to its financial services.

Puneet Jain, CEO-Digital, HT Media Group, described Mint Money as a personalised financial support assistant for users.

Mint Money App Gives Personal Loan Options

The Mint Money app provides personal loan options ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹5 lakh. The available loan tenure can range from 6 months to 60 months, while the starting APR is stated as 10.99 percent.

However, loan terms are not the same for every user. The loan amount, interest rate, tenure and approval depend on the user’s eligibility and the rules of the respective lender.

Mint Money itself is not a lending organisation. It works as a digital platform that displays loan offers through its lending partners. The respective lending partner is responsible for loan approval and disbursement.

Users can also view credit card options based on their needs and profile. The app provides credit card bill payment facilities and rewards for eligible bill payments.

It also allows users to track their loan and credit card applications, helping them keep an eye on the status of their applications from the same platform.

AI Credit Coach and Rewards Features

The app includes MoneyGuru AI Credit Coach, which is designed to understand a user’s credit profile and provide personalised tips related to improving their credit score.

Mint Money also combines financial information with content features. Users can access Reels, infographics, money quizzes and e-paper services through the app.

The e-paper feature provides access to content from Mint, Hindustan Times and Live Hindustan through links available in the app.

Under its Loyalty Rewards programme, users can earn coins for different financial activities. These coins can then be redeemed for vouchers, according to the app’s launch communication.

Data Protection and Privacy

Mint Money states that user data remains encrypted while it is in transit. Users can also request deletion of their data.

However, users should carefully read the app’s privacy policy and the terms and conditions of the relevant lender before sharing any financial, loan or credit-related information.

The new app is now listed on the Google Play Store and can be downloaded for free by Android users.
