iPhone Duo has launched in India at a starting price of ₹2,99,900, marking Apple’s entry into the foldable smartphone market.
The company unveiled the device on September 9, with the phone combining a compact outer screen with a much larger foldable display.
The iPhone Duo starts at ₹2,99,900 for the 256GB model and will also be available with 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options.
It comes in Star White and Night Sky colour options.
iPhone Duo Launches With 7.6-Inch Foldable Display
When opened, the iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display, which Apple describes as its largest iPhone display.
The phone also has a 5.4-inch outer display that can be used when the device is folded.
Apple has designed the software around the foldable format.
The iOS 27 experience supports multitasking, including using apps side by side, while the device is also built for gaming and content consumption on its larger screen.
The phone uses a titanium design and a precision hinge.
Apple says the device is its thinnest iPhone when fully opened and has been engineered with a dual-battery architecture and custom thermal management.
iPhone Duo Gets A20 Pro Chip and 48MP Cameras
The iPhone Duo is powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip.
It also features a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera for photography and video recording.
The foldable design enables camera features such as Smart Take and Duo Preview.
Users can also use the rear cameras for selfies while viewing the preview on the outer display.
Apple has also added a new FaceTime camera beneath the inner display.
The company says the camera system is designed to support new video-calling and photography experiences made possible by the foldable design.
iPhone Duo India Pre-Booking and Sale Date
The iPhone Duo will be available for pre-order in India from October 16, 2026, while sales will begin on October 23. India is among the markets included in the initial availability of the device.
The starting price of ₹2,99,900 makes the iPhone Duo one of Apple’s most expensive smartphones in India.
The top storage configuration pushes the price significantly higher, making the new foldable iPhone a premium purchase aimed at buyers looking for Apple’s latest form factor.
Apple’s entry also puts the company directly into competition with established foldable smartphone makers.
The launch could give consumers another premium option in a segment that has already seen several generations of foldable devices from competing brands.
