The wait is finally over for thousands of women in Delhi.
On August 1, 2026, the Delhi government officially launched the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana portal, allowing eligible women to apply for the ₹2,500 monthly financial assistance.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the portal at 11 AM during a special event at the District Magistrate Office (East) in Geeta Colony.
During the launch, the Chief Minister also helped register some eligible women under the scheme.
How to Apply for Delhi Lakshmi Yojana
Women who wish to benefit from the scheme must apply online through the official Delhi Lakshmi Yojana portal.
Follow these steps:
Open the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana portal.
Click on the Apply option.
Complete the registration process first.
Log in using your Registration ID and Password.
Fill in your personal, Aadhaar, and family details.
Enter your Aadhaar-linked bank account details.
Review the application carefully and submit it.
Upload the required recommendation letter from your MP or MLA along with your signature.
Download and save the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.
Registration Process Explained
Before filling out the application form, applicants need to register on the portal.
The registration process includes:
Click on Registration Now.
Enter your name and Aadhaar number.
Select your gender and date of birth.
Enter the captcha code.
Click Continue.
After successful registration, you will receive your Registration ID and Password, which can be used to log in and complete the application.
Who Is Eligible?
To apply for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, applicants must meet the following conditions:
Must be a permanent resident of Delhi for at least 10 years.
Annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
Applicant’s age should be between 21 and 60 years.
Household electricity consumption should not exceed 2,400 units in the last 12 months.
Should not be receiving any pension from the Central or State Government.
The applicant should have no more than three children.
The applicant or family should not own a car.
There should be no criminal record against the applicant.
