Swiggy Instamart has taken another step beyond grocery delivery by introducing on-demand LPG cylinder delivery in partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).

The new service has been launched as a pilot project in Bengaluru, allowing customers to order LPG cylinders directly through the Instamart app.

The initiative aims to make cooking gas refills faster and more convenient for households and small businesses.

Which LPG Cylinders Can You Order?

Initially, customers will be able to order two types of LPG cylinders:

5 kg metal LPG cylinder

10 kg HP Navya composite LPG cylinder

One of the biggest advantages of this service is that you do not need an existing HP Gas connection to purchase these cylinders.

The HP Navya composite cylinder is also lighter than traditional cylinders, making it easier to carry and use.

It is designed with enhanced safety features for added convenience.

Pilot Service Starts in Bengaluru

The LPG delivery service is currently available only in Bengaluru as part of a pilot launch.

Customers can place an order through the Swiggy Instamart app and get the cylinder delivered to their doorstep.

If the pilot receives a good response, the company may expand the service to more cities across India.

Who Will Benefit From This Service?

The new delivery option is expected to be useful for:

Households needing an urgent LPG refill

People who require a temporary gas cylinder

Customers looking for portable cylinders for travel or outdoor cooking

Small businesses that need quick access to cooking gas

The service is designed to make LPG purchases faster and eliminate the hassle of arranging emergency refills.

Quick Commerce Is Expanding Beyond Groceries

India’s quick commerce industry is no longer limited to delivering groceries.

Today, many platforms also offer products such as electronics, medicines, and household essentials.

With the launch of LPG cylinder delivery, Swiggy Instamart has added another essential service to its platform.

The partnership with HPCL also highlights how digital platforms are making everyday services more accessible through fast doorstep delivery.

If the Bengaluru pilot is successful, customers in other Indian cities could soon be able to order LPG cylinders online in just a few clicks.
