There is good news for EPF account holders. The government has approved the transfer of EPF interest for the financial year 2025-26, and millions of employees may receive the interest amount in their accounts soon.
The approved interest rate for EPF deposits remains 8.25% for FY 2025-26. If you have a PF account, it is a good idea to check your balance regularly to see whether the interest has been credited.
PF Interest May Arrive This Month
According to reports, the Labour Ministry is expected to direct the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to start crediting interest to members’ accounts shortly.
The 8.25% interest rate was approved during the Central Board of Trustees (CBT) meeting held on March 2 under the chairmanship of Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
This is the third consecutive year that the EPF interest rate has remained unchanged at 8.25%.
