Millions of farmers across India are now waiting for the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme.

Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹2,000 directly in their bank accounts every few months.

The government has not yet announced the official release date for the next installment. However, based on previous payment schedules, farmers may receive the money in June or July 2026.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 22nd installment from Guwahati on March 13, 2026. Since then, farmers across the country have been waiting for the next payment.

What Is PM Kisan Yojana?

The PM-Kisan scheme provides financial support to eligible farmer families across the country.

Under the scheme, farmers receive ₹6,000 every year. This amount is transferred directly to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each.

The main aim of the scheme is to help farmers manage farming and daily agricultural expenses more easily.

Important Requirements to Receive the Next Installment

The government has made it clear that farmers must complete e-KYC and Aadhaar linking to receive the next payment without delay.

Farmers who have not completed e-KYC may face problems in getting their installment on time. OTP-based e-KYC can be completed online, while biometric e-KYC requires a visit to the nearest CSC center.

It is also important that the Aadhaar number is linked with the farmer’s bank account. Even small mistakes in bank details or incomplete information can delay the payment.

How Farmers Can Check Installment Status

Farmers can easily check their installment status from home through the PM-Kisan portal.

They need to visit the Beneficiary Status section and enter details such as:

Aadhaar number

Mobile number

Bank account number

After entering the details, the complete payment status will appear on the screen.

Whose Installment May Be Stopped?

The government is also checking cases where ineligible people may be taking benefits of the scheme.

If multiple members of the same family are receiving benefits, or both husband and wife are getting installments separately, payments may be stopped.

Apart from this, some cases related to land purchased after February 1, 2019, are also under investigation.

Farmers are advised to update all their documents on time so that the next ₹2,000 installment reaches their accounts without any trouble.
