There is good news for devotees planning a trip to Tirupati. Indian Railways has announced a new regular train service to Tirupati, making travel easier for pilgrims visiting the famous Tirumala temple.
With the number of passengers increasing continuously, Railways has been converting many special trains into regular services to improve seat availability and provide more confirmed tickets to travellers.
New Weekly Train Between Tirupati and Okha
South Central Railway has now introduced a regular weekly train between Tirupati and Okha in Gujarat.
According to South Central Railway officials, this decision has been taken to make travel more convenient for devotees and long-distance passengers.
Train No. 19559 Tirupati–Okha Express will run every Monday.
The train will leave Okha at 11:55 PM and reach Kachiguda at 9:10 AM on Wednesday.
It will arrive in Tirupati at 11:30 PM on the same day.
On the return journey, Train No. 19560 Okha–Tirupati Express will depart from Tirupati every Thursday at 8:15 AM.
It will reach Kachiguda at 8:45 PM and arrive in Okha at 11:50 PM on Saturday.
This new train will provide direct connectivity between Gujarat and Tirupati, benefiting a large number of pilgrims and passengers.
Train Will Stop at Many Important Stations
The Tirupati–Okha Express will halt at several major stations including:
Basara
Nizamabad
Kamareddy
Bolarum
Kachiguda
Mahbubnagar
Gadwal
Kurnool City
Dhone
Tadipatri
Cuddapah
Rajampet
Renigunta
Passengers will have multiple travel options as the train will include:
Second AC
Third AC
Sleeper Class
General Coaches
More Trains Also Made Regular
Indian Railways has also regularised train services on other important routes.
Train No. 17075 will now run regularly from Cherlapalli to Belagavi every Saturday, while Train No. 17076 will operate from Belagavi to Cherlapalli every Sunday.
These trains will stop at important stations such as Secunderabad, Begumpet, Lingampalli, and Guntakal.
Apart from this, services between Bengaluru, Bidar, and Kalaburagi have also been regularised.
Trains numbered 16559, 16560, 16563, and 16564 will run on these routes with stops at Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, and Mantralayam Road.
The move is expected to benefit thousands of passengers travelling regularly on these routes.
