The Rajasthan Government has launched a major initiative to support young people who want to start their own business.

Under the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme, financial help will be provided to thousands of youth in the state.

For the financial year 2026–27, the government plans to support 30,000 young entrepreneurs, with a strong push to speed up the process.

Big Push to Promote Self-Employment

To meet its target, the government has planned to send 60,000 applications to banks by June, which is double the actual target.

Out of this:

30,000 applications will be sent in April

15,000 in May

15,000 in June

Districts have been given strict monthly targets to ensure smooth and timely implementation.

So far, the response has been strong. More than 73,000 youth have already applied, with total loan demand reaching around ₹3,580 crore.

Out of these, over 31,000 applications have already been forwarded to banks.

The scheme was launched on January 12, 2026, by Bhajan Lal Sharma, and applications started from January 22.

Loan Benefits Based on Education Level

The scheme offers interest-free loans, and the amount depends on the applicant’s education level.

For those who have passed Class 8 to 12:

Up to ₹3.5 lakh for service/business

Up to ₹7.5 lakh for manufacturing

Margin money support up to ₹35,000

For those with graduate, ITI, or higher qualifications:

Up to ₹5 lakh for service/business

Up to ₹10 lakh for manufacturing

Margin money support up to ₹50,000

This structure ensures that both less-educated and highly skilled youth can benefit.

Who Can Apply and How?

Any eligible youth from Rajasthan can apply for this scheme.

Applications can be submitted online through:

SSO ID

e-Mitra portal

Applicants need to provide basic documents such as Aadhaar card, domicile certificate, photo, and educational certificates.

For group or institutional applications, at least 51% ownership must belong to the applicant.

Aim: Build a Strong Self-Employment Ecosystem

Officials say the main goal of the scheme is to create more job creators instead of job seekers.

By offering easy, interest-free loans and financial support, the government wants to build a strong ecosystem of small businesses across the state.

Continuous monitoring is also being done to ensure the scheme reaches as many eligible youth as possible.

This scheme could be a big opportunity for young people in Rajasthan who want to turn their business ideas into reality without worrying about heavy loan interest.
