The Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken an important step to support students who missed out on financial help.

Under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, the state has decided to give students another chance to apply for scholarships.

The application portal for the 2025–26 academic year will soon reopen, helping those who couldn’t apply earlier.

Second Chance for Missed Applications

Many students miss scholarship deadlines due to various reasons.

To address this, the Social Welfare Department will reopen the portal.

This means students who missed the first phase can now apply again for scholarship and fee reimbursement benefits.

The move is aimed at ensuring that no deserving student is left behind.

Who Can Benefit from This Scheme?

The scheme is designed to support students from multiple backgrounds.

It includes:

General category students

Scheduled Castes (SC)

Scheduled Tribes (ST)

Transgender students

The goal is simple — no student should have to stop studying due to lack of money.

Thousands Benefited Last Year

This is not the first time such a step has been taken.

In the 2024–25 session:

Around 53,000 students received benefits

A total of ₹81.12 crore was distributed

Out of this:

₹30.65 crore went to SC students

₹50.47 crore was given to General category students

This shows how impactful the scheme has already been.

Government’s Focus on Equal Education

Asim Arun has emphasized that the government is focused on equal access to education.

The aim is to make sure every student gets a fair chance to study, grow, and build a better future—without financial barriers.

A Big Boost for Students’ Future

This decision is expected to help thousands of students continue their education.

By reopening the application process, the government is not just offering financial support—it is helping students stay in school, become independent, and move towards a stronger future.
